“Going to the Spheres was a lot of fun. Going into downtown Seattle around the Sphere is always fun to walk around as welI. In the Sphere I love the exotic tropical plants. The staff were also kind and helpful if you had any questions.”

“This was amazing. We truly expected to walk right through, but we were wrong. The plant collection is massive and interesting. There are several floors to walk around and explore every level of the rain forest. The entrance is free on 2 Saturdays a month to the public, otherwise this is just for Amazon employees and their guest. You can make reservations only on 1st and 15th of the month for the 1st or 3rd Saturday of the month. The reservation are limited and fill fast. One of the best tours we have done in Seattle and it's FREE!”

“How lucky were we to see on Facebook that the Amazon Spheres would be open the day we arrived in Seattle. We were completely blown away by what we saw when we arrived at our appointed time to visit. The Spheres comprises a trio on connected glass domes, located in the center of Amazon-occupied office towers in Downtown Seattle. The Spheres opened in 2018 by Jeff Bezos for his employees. They are only open to the public for free on two Saturdays of each month. The structure was designed by American architecture firm NBBJ. They serve as an employee lounge and workspace. The Spheres are a fully functioning, self-contained ecosystem – a greenhouse with more than 40,000 different varieties of plants from all over the world. It is built on a concrete foundation, using 620 tons of steel. The structures are connected in an open-plan indoor area filled with numerous exotic plants. The most striking feature inside the Amazon Spheres is a 4,000 square foot Canyon Living Wall. It stands 62 feet tall and 50 feet wide. A path winds up four stories across a suspension bridge to a Bird's Nest meeting area. During the day the temperature inside is in the mid 70's with 60% humidity. At night, it drops to 55 degrees with 85% humidity. The highest of the three Amazon Spheres is 90-meters tall. The catalans at the Amazon Spheres contain an incredible 2,643 panels of glass, making the whole structure visible from the outside thus, creating a clear view on the inside. There's also a cafe with treats and coffee. They also offer free tours. We found The Spheres to be a serene and comforting place to visit. The place was amazing!”

“As of April 2026: Monday: open only for employees Tue-Fri: open to employees+ up to 6 visitors Saturdays: some Saturdays open to public, I think you need to reserve. During the week, they kick you out 5.30pm. My favorite spot for a focused work day when I don't need 1-2 extra monitors. Pro tips: 1) if you intend to work, the power outlets are hard to come by, come charged up. But Day 1 / Doppler are nearby. 2) the staff is very knowledgeable, so ask away about the plants and vegetation. Ask them about anything special available this time of year, which is not available year-round. 3) get your free hot beverage as an employee. 4) there's water inside and there's usually a free banana stand outside. Enjoy! 🌿🪴🌴”
